  1. Welcome and overview of the event’s activities.
  2. Basic instruction on how to set up a tent and the camp area.
  3. Expectations and camp rules established.
  4. Teams established for meal preparation and clean-up and camp chores.
  1. Participants set up tents and the camp area.
  2. Participants try various nature games and activities; enjoy hikes, swimming, canoeing or kayaking, bird watching, art activities, or other activities depending on location.
  3. Participants assist in meal preparation and clean-up and other chores as assigned.
  4. Participants learn and practice Leave No Trace principles.
  1. Discussion of what participants enjoyed, discovered, and learned.
  2. Kids Survey (What did you like best?  Would you do this activity again?  Why?)
  3. Summary of camping as recreation and where opportunities exist on public lands.
  4. Certificate presentation.
